What is a Circle Leader?
A Circle Leader is one who takes the lead in their own life to get out of poverty and change their life story.
In our community, even people with ambition and drive can find themselves in tough situations that leave them with limited resources or a low-income. Our program participants - called Circle Leaders - are people who are motivated to move beyond their circumstances but need help. Circle Leaders are individuals who find themselves in generational or situational poverty. Our mission is to help them set goals and guide them on their journey to economic stability. We surround Leaders with a circle of support; providing education and resources to change their life story into one of stability and economic improvement.
At Circles Greenville County, we are looking for motivated individuals who want to take charge of their life and get out of poverty. We want Leaders who are passionately committed to doing the work to change their life circumstances.
This is what a Leader commits to:
-Attending weekly meetings regularly for 18 months.
-Providing financial documentation and demographic information every 6 months.
-Involving your children and family in the program.
-Forming friendships based on honesty and openness to new perspectives.
-Trusting the process even when it’s challenging
-Being accountable and open with your Ally
